Nabuchi and Anthony met on Christian Mingle in 2005. After hours of talking on the phone, Anthony knew he loved Nabuchi the moment he met her in person for the first time. 15 years later they are married and still very much in love. What can you tell us about the wedding?
“Our wedding was a nice backyard wedding in our newly built home in Florida. We had about 40 people come. It was a wonderful spring (hot) wedding.”
How did you meet? What was your first date like?
“We met on Christian Mingle in the fall of 2005. Our first date was a little unorthodox. I (Anthony) lived in Clermont Florida at the time and drove a truck cross country for a living. Nabuchi was a full time college student working on her 2nd degree in Jacksonville Alabama. I was able to get a load that allowed me the ability to pass near her school, making our first date one in the parking lot of a Beall’s Outlet. Nabuchi prepared a meal and we enjoyed it there.”
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
“We spent many hours talking on the phone getting to know each other. By the time I saw Nabuchi for the first time in person, I was already in love. As for her, she says, because of a previous bad relationship she had her guard up and true love didn’t set in until around February 2006 when we took a trip together.”
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members, who are still looking for love?
“A piece of advice that both my wife and I can agree on and share with people searching for their better half on Christian Mingle is, watch out for friends and family who good heartedly may try to deter you from seeking online love. My wife and I heard it all. She was told, I was a “trucker” who may have a woman in every state. and I was told, watch out, she may be trying to only get her citizenship, (my wife is from The Democratic Republic of Congo).
We both heard lots of negative stories, yet we gave it a shot. I can’t explain it, but in my heart I just felt our meeting was meant to be. In the beginning we prayed! We prayed a lot, for God’s guidance in our relationship. 15 years later we are happy and very much in love!”
