Katherine and Mark were married November 17, 2018. Christian Mingle is so pleased to have played a role in their love story and wishes them every joy for their future together.
How did you meet? What was your first date like? Tell us all the details!
Katherine and Mark actually grew up about 30 minutes from each other in the triad area of North Carolina. In 2017, Katherine had recently moved back to Kernersville, and was working as a nurse. Mark was living just north of Raleigh as an Associate/Youth Pastor in a local church. They were both in a stage of life where they were ready to intentionally meet someone with like-minded goals and values. Both had high hopes that Christian Mingle would provide that opportunity.
After just a few exchanges, they both felt that they shared a special connection.
Mark just happened to strike up a conversation with Katherine about living in Arizona and electronic dance music. After just a few exchanges, they both felt that they shared a special connection. It was just a matter of weeks before they would meet, and began dating in September of 2017.
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
They lived two hours apart from each other, so they would take turns visiting on the weekends, and would take advantage of virtually every opportunity to see each other. They really enjoyed getting to know each other by playing board games, being active/exercising, as well as going to church and doing ministry together.
They admired, supported, and loved each other to the point that they knew that they could not spend their lives any other way than together.
In May of 2018, Mark moved back to the triad area to begin serving at a new church. They both were excited for this new ministry opportunity, and to now live a half an hour from each other! But this was also a new season of excitement, because they were talking about marriage and were planning to spend the rest of their lives together. They both shared the conviction that God created marriage to be a covenant between a man and a woman that will last a lifetime. They admired, supported, and loved each other to the point that they knew that they could not spend their lives any other way than together.
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members?
We would encourage other Christian Mingle members to be patient, and to continue to pursue the Lord with your whole heart as you pursue a person to share your life with. Prioritize your conversations with other users, and be intentionally looking for a person who embodies godly character.
