Kaleigh and Jesus became an official couple after only their second in-person date! They recently celebrated three years of marriage, after getting married on June 24th, 2017. “We had a lovely wedding at my husband’s church with all of our closest friends and family!”
How did you meet? What was your first date like?
“Jesus had messaged me two times already and somehow I had missed them! He finally messaged me for a third time and I immediately responded. We quickly hit it off and from there we soon decided it was time to meet up!
On the first date he drove the whole five hours it takes to see me and picked me up after quick introductions with my family. We ended up going to one of my favorite spots by the lake where we ate at a yummy restaurant, had ice cream and ended the night with a movie! It was a dream date for me and he even came with a fun question game to play and roses for my mom and I!”
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
“I knew from the get go that we had instant connection and chemistry. It didn’t take long to realize that he was the one I was going to marry. By the second in-person date we made it official as boyfriend and girlfriend with the intention of “dating to marry”. Falling in love was so easy and natural and by the sixth month mark we were engaged! For me the saying, “when you know you know”, is true!”
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members, who are still looking for love?
“My advice is to be completely honest, open and committed. It is so important to lay all your cards on the table from the get go. It is essential for you to do this to get the perfect match, and when you find that match it will go as it should without misleading or false intentions. If you are not sure of what you want or are not fully ready for a total commitment then say that from the start. It is necessary to be honest with what you are looking for in order to get what you desire. Also be patient! We both had conversations with multiple and I mean multiple people before we found each other! For me it took two months, but for him it took three years! Don’t give up! Your person is out there, but this does take time!”
