How did you meet? What was your first date like?
“I signed up for Christian Mingle and I gave up after a few days because I wasn’t matching with anybody that I was interested , so I turned off my card , but left my account open . The next day , I received an email that said “Hey Emi ! You got another message ! Turn on your card to see !” So I said alright , let’s see …. and there he was; the most perfect man I’ve ever laid my eyes on . We spoke on the phone for hours on end the first night that we connected through the CM messenger . After the first few nights of talking on the phone , we decided to meet in person . He lived in New Jersey and I lived in New York , so we decided to meet up half way . We met up at a conservatory in North Jersey and walked through it , then sat on a bench in there for about 2 hours . We then went to Whole Foods and got sushi to go and ate it in my car . Then we proceeded to a park where we laid on a sheet under a tree for another 2 hours . I didn’t want the day to end !!!”
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
“Honestly ?? The first time we spoke on the phone ! It was like I was talking to my life-long best friend . As soon as we hung up , I messaged my best friend (mind you , it was 3 am at this point) and I said “I’m gonna marry this guy .”
What advice would you give other Christian Mingle members, who are still looking for love?
“Be open and be willing to learn about the people you match with and THEIR faith . Not everybody’s faith is exactly the same . Don’t judge anybody because you don’t think their belief is strong enough since it’s different from yours . Everyone’s relationship with God is personal and different . And look forward to finding your soulmate !!”
